Alex Vass
Alex Vass
Alex has over 20 years’ experience employing MMM, analytics and AI solutions. Alex founded Independent Marketing Sciences with a vision of bringing completely independent expertise in effectiveness and analytics to both brands and agencies – with the sole motivation of bringing the best and most actionable insights to clients. Prior to founding IMS Alex held global analytics leadership roles and has decades of experience employing analytics across FMCG, services. retail, finance and government.
Alex spends his time either hanging out with his family, or avoiding them on the golf course.
Dave Lanham
Dave Lanham
Dave has been working in the MMM field for 14 years, across both media agencies and independent consultancies Dave is a problem solver at heart, and enjoys the challenge of finding the right analytical technique to answer a client’s bespoke questions. He has also driven the development of our in-house software and solutions – encompassing regression, simulations and optimisations Dave’s experience covers a wide array of sectors – including retail, FMCG, automotive, beverages, entertainment, charity, oil and gas, and finance.
David enjoys singing in choirs – and more recently spending quality dad time with his young daughter!
Lucy Summerton
Lucy Summerton
Lucy joined IMS in 2022 as an Analytics Director. Lucy specialises in building bespoke analytics solutions and guiding clients with strategic challenges including market entry and global marketing optimisations. Lucy previously worked at PHD Worldwide where she applied cutting edge analytics and AI across a range of industries automotive, tech, gambling and finance.
Lucy enjoys board games, fancy dress, cheerleading, spending time with her family and walking her dog

Luke has over 10 years’ experience employing MMM and marketing analytics. Starting his marketing analytics journey at Ebiquity, Luke has worked across a broad range of clients and sectors including FMCG, services, charity, retail, gaming, travel, and telco.
Luke is a passionate musician, DJ and record collector

Jack joined IMS in 2022 after obtaining his MSc in Economics from the University of Sheffield. Before this, Jack had worked across a wide range of industries, both in the UK and Australia, which include; government, sport, research and charity.
Jack is an avid Arsenal fan, and enjoys travelling and playing golf (very badly!).
Tom Gray

Tom joined IMS in 2022 after completing the MSc Economics course at LSE. Prior to joining IMS, Tom completed his economics undergraduate course at Durham University. He then completed an internship in portfolio design and risk solutions focusing on quantitative research.
Tom enjoys playing squash, going to the gym, and visiting new countries.
Daniel Hallsworth
Daniel Hallsworth
Daniel joined IMS in 2024 after earning a BSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham. During his studies, he focused on advanced applied econometric theory, particularly in non-stationary time series and cointegration. He also completed an internship at a boutique corporate finance firm, where he provided advisory services for capital raising and company sales. Prior to university, Daniel was a member of the GB rowing team for four years, achieving two British records.
Daniel enjoys playing and watching football on the weekends and is a supporter of Nottingham Forest. His newest micro-obsession is learning to play golf.
Ilona Zasadzinska

Since joining IMS in 2023, Ilona has worked on a range of marketing and customer analytics projects across retail and tech. Before joining IMS, Ilona studied Economics at university, which included advanced econometrics modules. During university Ilona also undertook an internship at the ONS where she used machine learning to analyse Covid-19 impacts.
Ilona enjoys travelling, sailing, water sports, listening to music and feeding squirrels and ducks
Eleanor Elliott-Booth
Eleanor Elliott-Booth
Before joining IMS, Eleanor studied Mathematics and Economics at university, doing a combination of maths and economics modules, including a dissertation on time series modelling. During her third year, she completed a placement as an Operational Researcher with the Home Office, modelling visa applications.
Eleanor enjoys travelling, running and spending time with her family.
Daniel Corral
Daniel Corral
Before joining IMS, Daniel set up his own 3D printing business, running it alongside his studies at Warwick University. During his studies he worked as a junior researcher under Prof. Ludovica Gazze and Prof. Arun Advani, focusing on econometric analysis of green technology uptake.
Daniel enjoys 3D printing and designing(some pieces are currently in space), travelling, gaming and using/learning anything tech related.

Before Joining IMS, Holly studied Economics at the University of Sheffield. During her studies, she focused on Econometrics and applying of mathematical methods to economic analysis.
Holly enjoys travelling, swimming and watching Formula 1.
Ben Martin
Ben Martin
Before joining IMS, Ben studied BSc Economics with Spanish at the University of Bristol, spending a year at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he continued his studies (and fully embraced the Spanish way of life), developing professional fluency. While at university, he ran a tutoring business and led student consulting teams working with local Bristol-based charities.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys keeping active playing sports, with a particular love (obsession) for golf, table tennis & padel. Ben also likes spending time making music (or at least tries to!).
Niska Cumming-Bruce
Niska Cumming-Bruce
Prior to joining IMS, Niska studied PPE at the University of Warwick. Her studies were largely focused on interdisciplinary and applied research modules. She also completed an internship at the Department for Work and Pensions, where she conducted econometric evaluations of training programmes for jobseekers.
Niska’s spare time is mostly spent cooking, painting, gaming, and reading.
